Are you curious about the world of older people? Do you enjoy making new friends and find it rewarding to mean something for someone else? Then this is the place for you.

Coffee & Friendship is looking for enthusiastic volunteers who want to spend their Saturday afternoon from 13:45 to 16:15 with older Amsterdammers. Over a cup of coffee and good conversations, we break loneliness and create small circles of friendship and support.

This is also a great opportunity if you are learning Dutch. You will practice the language in a natural way while meeting real Amsterdammers and building new connections.

As a volunteer you welcome visitors, create a warm atmosphere, listen to their stories and sometimes join a game, a creative activity or a walk. Together with a small team you make Saturday afternoons a highlight in the week of our elderly guests.

What you get in return are grateful smiles, inspiring encounters, new friends and the joy of making a real difference in someone’s life.
