Are you the welcoming face of the Mozes and Aäron Church?

Do you love people and special places? Become a volunteer at the Mozes and Aäron Church and welcome visitors during the afternoon openings. A unique place full of culture and compassion, where Sant’Egidio stands with those who are vulnerable.

The Mozes and Aäron Church is one of the most beautiful churches in Amsterdam, yet its impressive interior remains unknown to many. That’s why we open the doors every Thursday and Friday afternoon from 12:00 to 16:00 — welcoming neighbours, tourists and passers-by.

As a host or hostess, you will:

greet visitors with a smile;
share information about the art, architecture and activities;
help create a calm and welcoming atmosphere.

During the summer months, the church comes even more to life with concerts and cultural events. The building is also home to Sant’Egidio Amsterdam, a community dedicated to supporting homeless people, the elderly, migrants and others in vulnerable situations.

What do we offer you?

A beautiful and inspiring place to work, full of stories and encounters
A warm team and personal guidance
Flexible volunteering: at least one afternoon every two weeks
Meaningful work in the heart of the city

Is this something for you?
You are friendly, social and feel at home in an open and diverse environment. You enjoy connecting with people and are happy to contribute to a space of peace, culture and solidarity.

Interested? Respond via the volunteer platform or email us at info@santegidio.nl. We look forward to hearing from you for an introductory conversation.
