The REMAIN Project carried out by the Clinical Psychology Department of the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
The REMAIN Project aims to evaluate the feasibility of a brief psychological support program, known as Problem Management Plus (PM+), developed by the World Health Organization (WHO) for individuals exposed to adversities. This program equips participants with coping strategies to manage daily stressors. In our study, two-thirds of participants receive the program immediately, while the remaining third will have the opportunity to receive it after completing all assessments, typically within 4.5 months. We are particularly recruiting young refugees/displaced people aged 16 to 25, residing in the Netherlands, who arrived from Arabic-speaking countries or Ukraine.
