Verbinding en samenwerking stimuleren tussen kinderen en jongeren uit verschillende culturen wereldwijd, te beginnen in Nederland en Kenia.

Het creëren van gelijke kansen en inclusie in het onderwijs wereldwijd.
Het vergroten van de sociale cohesie & actief burgerschap op buurtniveau.

De stichting bereikt dit doel door het opzetten en aanbieden van digitale educatieve zusterschool uitwisselingsprojecten voor leerlingen aan weerszijde van de welvaartsbalans. Samen met de leerlingen/jongeren werkt de stichting aan projecten ter verbetering van de leer- en leefomgeving. Hiermee sluiten we aan bij het 1ste en 4de millenniumdoel; het bestrijden van armoede en het toegankelijk maken van goed onderwijs voor alle kinderen & levenlang leren stimuleren.

Onderwijsvernieuwing en ontwikkelings samenwerking komen samen binnen het Digital Educational Exchange Programme (DEEP); een wereldburgerschaps programma dat gedurende 2 jaar aangeboden wordt op PO & VO scholen in 3 periodes van 6 weken.De belangrijkste activiteiten binnnen de stichting zijn:

lessen op PO & VO scholen coördineren en voorbereiden.
online leeromgeving & lessen creëren.
Research & Development: feedback & terugkoppeling ter verbetering van de programma’s.
buurtprojecten opzetten en uitvoeren.
contacten leggen met nieuwe scholen en coördinatoren en/of andere vrijwilligers in het buitenland.
marketing & PR.
trainingen ontwikkelen en geven voor scholen en docenten.

Sister Schools is een community en we leren van en met elkaar. Het gaat om verbinding, samenwerking en samenleren.

Voor nieuwkomers is dit een kans om in Nederland te werken in jouw eigen buurt en scholen en kinderen kennis te laetn maken met andere culturen en leefwerelden.
Voor jongeren is dit een kans om maatschappelijk betrokken en creatief uitdagend werk te doen, waar zowel de buurt, nieuwkomers, armere kinderen in ontwikkelingsladen als ook jijzelf wijzer van wordt.
Voor ouderen en expert-vrijwlligers is dit een kans om een beginnende NGO te helpen doorgroeien naar een wereldwijde organisatie.;
