Perdu is a platform for poetry in the city centre. We’re looking for volunteers to join our barteam.

1. Job description
As bar volunteer, you work behind the bar in the Perdu theatre during events. You serve drinks to visitors, refill the fridges, work in a hygienic manner, and work the cash register.

2. Required skills/experience

– You stay calm and collected when things get busier
– You communicate in a pleasant way and keep the overview
– Good command of Dutch and/or English is preferable
– You’re used to flexible working hours and can work 3 to 4 shifts per month (around 4 hours a week)
– Preferably, you have diplomas in social hygiene and BHV
– You live in Amsterdam or the surrounding area
– Affinity with literature/poetry is a plus

3. What do you get in return?
You get to work in an inspiring setting with lots of enthusiastic colleagues, in a special location in the heart of Amsterdam and have the chance to attend interesting cultural events. You will receive a volunteer fee of 20 euros per shift.

4. Workig hours
1 shift per week of 4 hours, mostly during the evenings (19.00-23.00), sometimes during the day (16.00-20.00 or 13.00-18.00).
