De Papegaai – St Jozefkerk is looking to strengthen our wonderful team of church wardens.

De Papegaai is a peaceful hidden church located on the busy Kalverstraat, in the heart of Amsterdam.

The church is open every day from 10:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. , offering visitors a quiet place to light a candle, pray, or simply enjoy the serene atmosphere.
This daily opening is made possible by our dedicated team of church wardens.

As a church warden, you will
• Be a point of contact for visitors and help maintain a calm and respectful atmosphere in the church.
• Manage the small shop at the back of the church, selling rosaries and small statues of saints.

What we ask from you
• You can choose a shift:
o 10:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. or
o 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. .
(The church is open every day, so there are many scheduling options.)
• You will work alone or in a duo.
• If you are interested, you will first work along one of our current wardens twice.
After that, you will be scheduled for your own shift.
