At Blend, located on the Amsterdam canals, you’ll find a welcoming, safe, and inspiring environment for young adults. Join us as a barista, in the kitchen or contibrute at our venue rental, behind the scenes or at workshops.

We understand that life can be demanding. Maybe you are new to Amsterdam, feeling lonely, experiencing a disconnect from society and looking for connection. Then Blend is the place for you.

Blend is inclusive and accessible. Here you’ll find a place where you can be yourself. You’ll meet people looking for connection, more balance or a new direction. Whatever your story, you are welcome here.

What will you be doing?
• Volunteer 4 hours a week in the community café as a barista or in the kitchen, help with venue rentals and workshops or behind the scenes within the organization. Of course more hours are possible as well!
• Bring your own talents into the community. Think of online communication, design, facilitating workshops (like crocheting or candle making) or organizing activities (like a movie night).
• Start with a few trial days, during which we’ll determine together which placement suits you best. After this and in agreement, you can start working on a fixed day.
• Take part in weekly workshops, like yoga and meditation, that help you reconnect with your body and mind.

What do we ask of you?
• No experience or knowledge is needed, just curiosity and a desire to participate. You’ll learn everything through hands-on experience.

What will it give you?
• A place where you can come just as you are.
• Meet like-minded people and make new connections.
• Gain new skills and work experience (such as a barista, cooking or facilitating workshops).
• The opportunity to contribute, build confidence and discover what makes you happy.
• Structure by working a fixed number of hours a week (minimum of 4 hours), agreed upon with you.

All in a warm, community-based environment right in the heart of Amsterdam.

Blend is open between 10 am – 3 pm on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Our space is within walking distance of Waterlooplein and easy to reach by public transport.
