Track Owner – Backend Specialisation Track (Java & Spring Boot)

Looking for a way to transmit your coding skills? Join HYF and help people with refugee backgrounds gain the necessary skills to find a job as web developers in the NL. We’re a non-profit, free program that strives for equal access to jobs and education.

HackYourFuture is looking for a Volunteer Track Owner for our Backend Specialisation Track. The track prepares graduates for junior backend roles by teaching Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, databases, security, Docker, CI/CD, and deployment.

As Track Owner, you help ensure the track content is finalised, stays relevant, structured, and aligned with the job market.
Responsibilities
Coordinate finalisation of curriculum content (with volunteers)
Create, maintain and improve the track structure and learning goals
Support mentors and homework reviewers
Ensure curriculum quality and relevance
Act as the main point of contact for the track
