Who would like to help us set up a scenic holiday camp?

The Light and Air holiday camp has been a household name in Amsterdam for almost 100 years. Each city district had its own holiday camp and many generations of Amsterdam children were able to enjoy wonderful holiday weeks. Leave home at 8 a.m. by coach to the dunes and forest and return home at 5 p.m. in time for dinner, hot bath and bed.

Since we do not receive any subsidies we are facing rising costs. There are now only three of the many holiday camps in Amsterdam left. The Light and Air TVB is one of them. It is also more difficult to find volunteers. This beautiful tradition of affordable Amsterdam holiday camps should be kept alive.
We would like to keep the camp accessible to as many children as possible. To keep costs as low as possible, we only work with volunteers and do not make a profit.

Without volunteers we wouldn’t be able to exist! That is why we are always looking for enthusiastic people who want to help us set up a beautiful holiday camp?
on July the 19th and/or the 20th, 2024.

Your tasks will include: assembling tables, setting up swings and other playing equipment. The tents are already there. We work from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., your own transport is not necessary and food and drinks will be provided. You will spend lovely time in the nature and enjoy the charming dune area.
