Become a Dessert Maker at the Franciscustafel! 🍮 Every Thursday afternoon you’ll join a friendly team to prepare desserts for the meal enjoyed by more than a hundred homeless and vulnerably housed Amsterdammers.

The Franciscustafel is the restaurant of Sant’Egidio where people in vulnerable situations in Amsterdam are welcome twice a week. Every Tuesday and Thursday evening more than a hundred guests sit down for a three-course meal. It is a place of friendship and hospitality, and on Thursdays a tasty dessert is, of course, part of the menu.

That is where you come in. On Thursday afternoons from three to five you join a small and friendly team to prepare the desserts. By the time the guests arrive, your work is done, but your contribution makes the meal complete.

You become part of a warm and dedicated volunteer team and have the chance to use your cooking or baking talent for something that truly makes a difference.
