Befrending a blind and deaf resident.

Living as a blind and deaf person can be very lonely.
Therefore, we are searching for a volunteer to befriend our deaf and blind resident.
A regular visit to this lovely lady will brighten her day.
She is a resident in our nursing home and would love to communicate with someone on a regular basis: an hour a week or every two weeks. This lady is deaf and blind.
You communicate with her by writing letters on her hand so that she can “read” what is being written.. She is quite adept at this as she had a volunteer in the past who used this method of communication.

You can make her feel less isolated by accepting a challenge and gain a rewarding new experience.
