Are you a natural connector with a passion for different cultures?
Khalil and his family recently arrived in the Netherlands and are struggling to find their way in the city. They feel isolated and don’t know where to turn for support.
What will you do?
Help Khalil and his family access essential services in Amsterdam (such as childcare, shops, and community centers).
Engage in activities with the children to help them overcome isolation, such as visiting the playground or library.
Assist the parents with practical matters, such as arranging documents, childcare, and public transportation.
Guide Khalil and his family in understanding Dutch society and culture.
Support them in building a social network by connecting them with other families, neighborhood activities, and local initiatives.
What do we ask?
You have experience with or a strong interest in different cultures.
You are a good listener, patient, and understand the importance of social connections.
You are available for a few hours per week.
You are willing to assist Khalil and his family with practical matters and help them integrate into the community.
