Do you also think it is a shame if food is thrown away? Would you like to do something for the neighborhood? And while you also do your own grocery shopping? Together we become a “zero waste” community, come help us!
Every Tuesday evening, you first do your grocery shopping in a supermarket in the Rivierenbuurt. Then you collect a number of crates filled with food from the warehouse of the same supermarket that would otherwise be thrown away. You do need a car or a cargo bike for transport this crates. You then take the crates to the Vechtstraat 77, in the Rivierenbuurt. And you’re done! The next day, on Wednesday morning between 10 and 11:30 am, people from the neighborhood, who are also against food waste, can pick up the food. This is often a very pleasant meeting, with coffee, tea, something tasty and, above all, a lot of fun. Here too you are very welcome to fill your bag yourself and come and have a chat with your local residents. But that is of course your own choice. We are mainly looking for people who want to pick up food from a supermarket (or several) in the Rivierenbuurt on Tuesday evenings and bring it to the Vechtstraat. Does that seem like something to you? Respond to this vacancy and we will contact you.
