Would you like to help someone who is (permanently or temporarily) not able to shop independently?

As a volunteer at Union of Volunteers you can do something good for lonely elderly people, in your own time. You will discover a completely new world. With your help, the elderly will be seen.

You do groceries for an elderly person in your area. You pick up the shopping list, get the groceries with your bicycle and unpack the shopping.. Usually you have a chat or drink a cup of coffee together.

You speak enough Dutch to understand each other. There is a travel allowance scheme. It rewarding to be able to support elderly residents of Amsterdam.

You can do this just once, on an on-call basis, or, every week
