## About Women in Product NL

Women in Product NL is a community dedicated to supporting women building careers in **product, technology, digital and innovation** in the Netherlands.

We create opportunities for women to learn, connect, build confidence, exchange experiences and grow their professional networks through events, workshops, mentoring and community initiatives.

We are looking for a **Volunteer Event Manager** who is passionate about community building and wants to contribute to a women-focused initiative.

## About the Role

As a Volunteer Event Manager, you will help Women in Product NL bring engaging community events to life.

You will work across **partnership development, event organisation, participant engagement and digital promotion**. You will be one of the friendly faces representing Women in Product NL at our events and help create an inclusive, welcoming experience for participants.

## What You’ll Do

### 🤝 Build Partnerships

* Identify and approach companies, organisations, venues and community partners that could support Women in Product NL events.
* Build and maintain relationships with potential partners and venues.
* Coordinate with companies and venues regarding event requirements, availability and logistics.
* Explore opportunities for collaborations, sponsorships and in-kind support.

### 📅 Organise & Run Events

* Support the planning and execution of Women in Product NL events, workshops and networking sessions.
* Coordinate practical arrangements such as venue, timings, setup, materials, speakers and participant requirements.
* Work with the Women in Product NL team and volunteers to ensure events run smoothly.
* Be present at events and help coordinate activities on the day.

### 👋 Welcome & Engage Participants

* Welcome participants and help them feel comfortable and included.
* Introduce participants to Women in Product NL and explain our community, activities and mission.
* Encourage networking and conversations between participants.
* Answer basic questions about our events, mentoring programmes and community.
* Collect participant feedback and share insights with the Women in Product NL team.
* Help create a warm, open and supportive atmosphere at events.

### 📱 Promote Events

* Support promotion of events through Women in Product NL’s social media channels.
* Create or adapt basic promotional content for LinkedIn and other relevant channels.
* Share event announcements, reminders and post-event content.
* Understand basic digital marketing principles such as audience targeting, engagement, calls to action and event promotion.
* Work with the team to increase event visibility and participation.

### 🌱 Support the Women in Product NL Community

* Represent Women in Product NL professionally and enthusiastically when interacting with participants, companies and partners.
* Contribute ideas for new events, partnerships and community activities.
* Support other Women in Product NL initiatives when needed.
* Help us grow a strong and engaged community of women in product, technology and digital careers.

## What We’re Looking For

You don’t need to be an experienced event professional. **Enthusiasm, ownership and a willingness to contribute are more important.**

We’re looking for someone who:

* Is passionate about supporting **women in product, technology, digital and innovation**.
* Enjoys meeting people and building relationships.
* Is organised and comfortable coordinating multiple activities.
* Is proactive and willing to take ownership of tasks.
* Communicates confidently and professionally with companies, venues and participants.
* Has basic knowledge of social media and digital marketing.
* Is comfortable using LinkedIn and other digital channels to promote events.
* Can work independently while collaborating with a small volunteer team.
* Is reliable and able to commit time around events.
* Is comfortable representing Women in Product NL in external conversations.
* Most importantly, **believes in creating opportunities and stronger professional communities for women.**

## Time Commitment
