Foundation, which is active worldwide in Early Recognition of Rare Diseases, is looking for a young General Physician or studying for that to become a board member for medical information management. Preferably a woman and for a longer period of time.
The Marijke Foundation (commonly known as Symptomatrix Team) in Amstelveen has been internationally active since 2003. Its spearhead is the Symptomatrix (published online in five languages) for early recognition of the symptoms of two rare conditions that are often very difficult to diagnose, namely Giant Cell Arteritis (GCA) and Polymyalgia Rheumatica (PMR). These conditions mainly affect women aged 40-45, but sometimes also men.
The new, young board member we are looking for will replace the current medical doctor, who unfortunately has to say goodbye for health reasons.
The work is not time-intensive, irregular (at your own discretion) and can be done from home. It mainly consists of keeping track of developments in both conditions, including diagnostics and pharmaceutical aspects.
A reasonable to good grasp of the English language is useful for this.
