This extraordinary woman has traveled extensively, performed in theater, and has always been deeply engaged in the arts and culture. Though her physical health is declining and she requires oxygen daily, her mind remains sharp and full of curiosity. She keeps up with world affairs and enjoys meaningful conversations.

Due to her medical condition, she spends much of her time in bed but values her independence and wants to maintain control over her life. She knows exactly what she wants and, while she can be a bit particular at times, this stems from her strong desire to remain in charge of her own decisions. More than anything, she is looking for a volunteer who will truly listen to her and respect her autonomy.

What she’s looking for in a volunteer:

Someone who is a good listener and genuinely interested in her stories. She values deep conversations and does not appreciate unsolicited advice.

Someone available to visit in the afternoons, with a flexible schedule that allows her to decide when she is up for company.

Someone who shares her passion for art, culture, theater, and travel and enjoys discussing these topics.

Someone willing to take her for a walk in her wheelchair or accompany her on a short shopping trip—she has lost weight, and her clothes no longer fit.

Someone who respects her independence and supports her in maintaining control over her own life.

She speaks fluent English and Dutch.

Although you do not need to be Jewish, she values deep and engaging conversations with someone who shares a similar intellectual curiosity and appreciation for the things that matter to her.
