At this moment The Natuurkamer kiosk opens at 12 PM on weekends. Now that the weather is getting nicer, we see that there are also visitors early in our playground and we would like to offer them a drink and snack!

You will receive people at the counter and in our indoor space and sell food and drinks. You will support children’s parties by preparing food and drinks. You will keep the indoor space clean with the other staff.

Who are we looking for:
Someone who has an affinity with preparing food and drinks and catering experience is desirable, but not necessary. We are mainly looking for a hospitable and enthusiastic volunteer who would like to become part of our friendly team. Someone who enjoys working in the green and making others happy with food and drinks.

Of course, we will teach you the finer points of our kiosk. We also offer you training courses that fit the position if desired.

What do you get in return:
Working in the beautiful green Sloterpark. Pleasant moments where we eat and drink together, for example, we offer free lunches to our volunteers. You can work flexibly or fixed, everything is possible in consultation. The opportunity to develop yourself. A flat organizational structure, you can think along and decide. A place to meet other people. Twice a year a team outing/activity. Possibility of expense allowance. Moreover, you get a lot of fun and happy faces in return! If you want to bear the final responsibility, you will receive a volunteer allowance of 5 euros per hour.

What is the added value of this volunteer work:
We find catering important because it is a meeting place for the neighborhood. We facilitate meetings and you can contribute to that.

Working hours:
You start at 9:30 AM and receive the first visitors. It is often not that busy then and you also have the space to make the preparations for the afternoon crew. You hang up the hammocks, put the signs outside, and bake cakes and other goodies. You are finished by 12:30 PM at the latest and the afternoon crew takes over.
