The Boogieland Foundation has one mission: Free Boxing For Everyone! We place fully equipped boxing stations in public spaces of Amsterdam and beyond so everyone has free access to work on their mental and physical wellbeing.
What will you do?
You will be head of the maintenance team, which consists of 5 voluntary ‘Bagmasters’. The Bagmasters assist with minor repairs of the boxing bags, keep an eye on the different locations and assist with replacing of the bags or installing new boxing stations. You will coordinate and record all necessary repairs and jobs to be done. You make sure all stations are in the best possible state and think about the most sustainable way to keep the boxing bags ready for use all year round. You are responsible for efficient inventory management of our equipment and boxing bags.
Necessary skills:
You have good technical insight and experience. You can come up with creative ideas and know the best and most durable way to place a boxing bag in a public area. Experience with welding and metal working is preferable. A passion for boxing or kickboxing is also preferable! You will need a driving license and (access to) a car/minivan to transport several boxing bags at a time.
What’s in it for you?
You wil contribute to our mission: free boxing for everyone! You’ll do your part to make Amsterdam a more beautiful and healthy place to live. We can offer an allowance based on hours worked
Working hours:
Hours will vary based on repairs needed. On a monthly basis it will be between 8-15 hours.
