Sewing Atelier Facilitator (Thursday afternoons 3.00 – 5.00 PM)
Love sewing, upcycling, fashion, or DIY projects? And do you enjoy helping people feel creative and connected? Then you might be the new face of our Sewing Atelier at Atelier 77 ✨
Every Thursday afternoon, our creative community space opens its doors for neighborhood residents, both Dutch and international, to work on their own sewing ideas: from repairing clothes and experimenting with fabrics to learning how to use a sewing machine for the very first time. The atmosphere is open, relaxed, creative, and social.
We’re looking for a friendly and approachable volunteer facilitator who feels comfortable around a sewing machine and enjoys guiding a diverse group of people. You don’t need to be a professional fashion designer — being patient, creative, and enthusiastic goes a long way.
💡 What will you do?
* Welcome participants and help create a warm, inspiring atmosphere
* Support people with sewing projects and basic sewing machine skills
* Share tips, tricks, and creative ideas
* Encourage creativity, confidence, and connection within the group
🪡 About the atelier
The sewing atelier is a walk-in activity, so every week is different. Some participants are complete beginners, while others already have experience and simply enjoy sewing together with others. We provide sewing machines and materials.
We also love when volunteers bring in their own ideas, interests, and creative approach. Whether you enjoy visible mending, fashion design, upcycling, beginner tutorials, or simply creating a cozy and inspiring atmosphere — there is space to help shape the atelier together.
