Are you a creative person who would love to teach newcomers in Amsterdam South East how to sew?

Afrikahuis is looking for volunteers to give sewing lessons. The lessons will cover basic skills such as using patterns, cutting fabric, operating a sewing machine, making buttonholes, inserting zippers, etc.

We are looking for people who are willing to come to Afrikahuis once a week for 3 hours to teach these skills. All materials, including sewing machines, are available. Knowledge of hand sewing, fabrics and materials such as interfacing is a plus. Materials are available or can be purchased if needed.
