Fossil Free Culture NL (FFCNL) is looking for a Social Media & Website Volunteer! If you like your activism with a bit of wit, some sharp editing, and zero corporate voice, you’ll fit right in.
We are looking for a Social Media & Website Volunteer to help us shout about it. You’ll turn our disobedient art into content that informs, provokes, and mobilizes people across Instagram, Bluesky, and YouTube, and keep our website looking like the living record of trouble it should be.
What do you want to do?
· Plan and schedule posts across our social media channels
· Cover actions and events in real time, including photo/video content from the field
· Write captions and copy that carry our voice: bold, political, and art-driven
· Help grow engagement with allies, artists, and cultural institutions
· Track basic performance and suggest ways to improve reach
· Update [website hidden] with new actions, performances, and events (WordPress – we can provide training if necessary)
· Keep the Disobedient Art School page current
What are we looking for?
· Comfort writing for social media and an eye for what makes content land
· Basic photo/video editing skills
· Affinity with climate justice, feminist, queer, anti-racist, and decolonial politics
· Reliable and organized, especially around live events and direct actions
· Bonus: experience with content calendars, community management, or WordPress
What do we offer?
· A place in a committed, politically engaged collective of artists and activists
· Real ownership about how our story reaches the world
· Flexible, remote-friendly volunteering that fits around your schedule
· Connection to a wider network of climate justice and cultural organizers
How to apply?
Email us with a short note about yourself and, if you have one, examples of social media, writing and images you’ve done.
