What is Vers aan de Vecht?
Vers aan de Vecht (Fresh by the Vecht) is a vegetable garden by the Vecht river, that has 160 members. Every week they come to harvest vegetables, that’s why we call them harvesters. The garden is maintained bij professional gardeners, with some assistence of the harvesters. The vegetables we plant, sow and harvest together, are healthy and delicious, as is working in the open air.
We would like everyone that wishes to do so, can participate with us, including those that cannot afford membership. Are you interested? Become a participant at our vegetable garden!
This is what it is like to participate:
As a participant at Vers aan de Vecht you work with us in the garden on a regular basis, for instance one (half) day per week. In a small group we remove weeds, sow plant and harvest vegetables.
Ofcourse there is time for casual conversation and you will receive fresh veggies at the end of the day!
What are the benefits?
