Volunteer during the fourteenth edition of the Amsterdam Light Festival!

Dates: 27.11.2025 until 18.01.2026
Times: 4pm – 9pm.
Working days: Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday and open every day during the Christmas holidays.

From the 27th of November 2025 untill the 18th of january 2026, the annual Amsterdam Light Festival will take place. It is one of the world’s leading light art festivals. With light art in beautiful, public, photogenic places, the organisation aims to connect and enrich residents and visitors.

Currently, preparations for the festival are in full swing and we are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join our team. Volunteers are essential for the festival and are the face of the festival. WHAT WILL YOU DO?
As a volunteer at Amsterdam Light Festival, you and other volunteers will be the hosts at one of the information points on the route. This means you will:

– Be the point of contact for visitors and provide information to them when asked.
– Help with buying tickets and with the start-up of the walking route/app.

WHAT DO WE EXPECT FROM YOU?
– You are available for at least three evenings during the period from 27.11.2025 untill 18.01.2026.
– You have no problem working weekends and/or public holidays when needed.

WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT FROM US?
– An information evening with workshop prior to the festival
– An (optional) behind-the-scenes look at the guide-briefing (and tour)
– A delicious meal on the evening you work
– A spot during the volunteer canal cruise on the 11th of December
– A code to download the festival app for free
