Help install and deinstall an art exhibition while working behind the scenes with the artist. Volunteers receive hands-on gallery experience and an invitation to the exhibition opening.

We’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help install a special exhibition at MAI Gallery in the center of Amsterdam. The exhibition features the work of a well-known singer who is now presenting a visual art exhibition, making this a unique opportunity to work behind the scenes on an exciting cultural event.
What you’ll do
3 & 4 November 2026: Install approximately 80 framed artworks wooden, plasterboard and concrete walls.
One month later: Carefully de-install the exhibition by removing all artworks and restoring the gallery walls to their original condition. Attention to detail is essential, as the walls must be returned exactly as they were before the exhibition.
Who we’re looking for
Volunteers with experience hanging artworks, frames, or similar installations are strongly preferred.
You’re reliable, careful, and enjoy hands-on work.
You can work as part of a team while paying close attention to detail.
