Do you enjoy meeting people and discovering special places? Welcome visitors to the Mozes and Aaron Church during our open afternoons. A unique spot full of culture and compassion, right in the heart of Amsterdam.
The Mozes and Aaron Church is one of the most beautiful churches in Amsterdam, yet many people only know it from the outside. That’s why every Thursday and Friday afternoon from 12:00 to 16:00 we open our doors to neighbours, tourists and anyone passing by.
As a volunteer host you are the welcoming face of the church. You greet visitors with a smile, share a bit about the art, architecture or activities, and create a warm and inviting atmosphere. In summer the church is extra lively with concerts and cultural events.
The church is also home to Sant’Egidio Amsterdam, a community of volunteers dedicated to supporting homeless people, the elderly, migrants and others in vulnerable situations.
What do you get in return? A beautiful workplace full of stories, encounters with people from all over the world, a warm and supportive team, and the chance to make a difference in the heart of the city. Volunteering is flexible, starting from just one afternoon every two weeks.
