Wester-Amstel is a 17th century country house located on the outskirts of Amsterdam, along the Amstel river. Our park, gardens, and house are listed as historical monuments. The park and gardens are open to the public from April to mid-October. The house is used for exhibitions and small concerts. Please visit our website: www.westeramstel.com for more information.
We have a digital communication strategy in place, targetted at residents of Amsterdam, Amstelveen, Ouderkerk and other nearby communities, as well as at foreign tourists interested in discovering the countryside of Amsterdam. Last year, we created fresh audio tours, a bi-lingual visitor site, various brochures, and we supported events like Ode Uitmarkt, and Amstellanddag, de Uitmarkt and Open Monumentendag. We also started building presence in Tripadvisor, Google and other websites. We measure our communication progress with communication chart. We also launched a Facebook page to be filled with more 'newsy' items.
This year, our aim is to bring our Facebook page to live with more 'newsy' items, thereyb generating more return visitis to Wester-Amstel. We furthermore want to enhance our visibility in various news items and portals geared towards the Dutch. Your job will be to produce Dutch language content for these channels. You are also expected to bring in fresh ideas and execution power to further grow our profile.
You will be working with digital-savy as well as old skool communication pro's making this an excellent opportunity to grow your skills. You will meet every 4 to 6 weeks with the full team to strategize, to discuss and to enjoy the beautifull surroundings of Wester-Amstel.
