educate. is a non-profit organisation that works to empower children and young people in Honduras through education. We are looking for two project officers to help manage our growth in Honduras!


educate. is a grassroots non-profit organisation that works to empower children and young people in Honduras through supporting community-driven projects focused on education. We work with communities in Honduras, one of the poorest and most unequal countries in Latin America, to run a scholarship programme that gives high-potential youth from low-income backgrounds the chance to go to university, and we work with schools to support projects like starting school-based community libraries. We believe in the importance of local leadership and working against the non-profit sectors unequal power relationships.

We have a team in Honduras as well as a team in Amsterdam, and we are looking for passionate and highly organized Project Officers to support with the management of our projects in Honduras, including our growing scholarship programme and the setup of a new Youth Centre. You'll be in direct contact with our team in Honduras and will gain first-hand experience in project management.

Wat voor kennis of vaardigheden zijn nodig?

  • Fluency in English and Spanish.
  • An understanding of non-profit work, especially in the field of education and community-driven development.
  • Highly organized, able to keep track of project processes and logistics.
  • A good communicator and team player.
  • Someone with a lot of initiative.

Wat voor scholing krijg je aangeboden?

You will be onboarded by our Head of Project Management, and will receive mentorship and ongoing support throughout the internship.

5-8 hours per week on average. Team meetings most Thursday evenings from 6:30pm.
