MoMo Education
Momo Education by Sister Schools Foundation is an educational Global Citizenship programme for students aged 10 – 16, that focuses on connecting youth from both sides of the welfare divide using MoMo’s Digital Educational Exchange Platform (DEEP). By connecting schools worldwide, MoMo aims to create a digitally connected learning network for educational innovation. MoMo’s work aligns with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially ‘Quality education’ (4) and ‘Reduced inequalities’ (10).

Task description:
Together with other professionals you will develop the Digital Educational Exchange Platform for the Sister Schools Foundation, where students and teachers meet and exchange their learning materials and interact with each other. MoMo makes use of an open source platform of Leerpodium. MoMo promotes the use of technology and development of new skills to allow students from different backgrounds to understand and learn about each other’s cultures through a global citizenship programme..

You will work together with the Country Managers in Kenya and NL and with the team leaders of the volunteer teams. Especially with the Educational Innovation & Development (EID) Team and the Project Educational Coordinators (PEC) Team leads.
Working as a volunteer for MoMo will give you a sense of belonging and satisfaction for learning about the different realities and sharing your skills to expand the project, benefiting more students.

Skills & Qualifications:
Strong cooperation & technical skills
The ability to build a chat messaging platform and/or
The ability to build a communication platform and/or
The ability to build CSS
Experience in (one of) the fields above mentioned
Work experience with Javascript (React) and wordpress.
